Field Evaluation and Economic Assessment Program (FEEAP)
Overview
The Field Evaluation and Economic Assessment Program (FEEAP) is a program of research aimed at assisting the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) in making government reimbursement decisions for medical devices, procedures and other non-drug health technologies.
PATH designs and conducts studies called ‘field evaluations’ that reduce uncertainty around the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of new and existing technologies.
This program is primarily devoted to designing and conducting ‘real world’ studies of the costs and effects of non-drug health technologies by using Ontario-specific data. This innovative academic-government collaboration is designed to reduce uncertainty surrounding the implementation of technologies in the province before widespread diffusion.
