Health Technology Assessment Program (HTAP)
Overview
The Health Technology Assessment Program (HTAP) is a research program focused on the generation of HTAs to support federal and provincial government reimbursement decisions. Designated as a Partners in Health Technology Assessment (PIHTA) by the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH), PATH is the only official academic research partner with Canada’s national HTA agency.
HTAP conducts systematic literature reviews and constructs original economic models to assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of new and existing technologies.
As a designated PIHTA, HTAP in collaboration with research partners, produces original technology reports that are used by national, provincial and local decision makers across the country and internationally.
