Daria is an assistant professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University, and faculty director of PATH’s Field Evaluation and Economic Assessment Program.  She is also a member of the Centre for Evaluations of Medicines, affiliated with St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.  Daria joined PATH in 2003 as a post-doctoral fellow prior to becoming a faculty member in 2007.  Also in 2007, Daria was awarded a Career Scientist Award from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for her research in the area of diabetes which focuses on the development and application of a diabetes economic model for evaluating the impact of diabetes management in Ontario.  She has conducted and collaborated on research in the areas of economic evaluation, health technology assessment, health policy, meta-analysis, pharmacoepidemiology and clinical epidemiology.  Daria teaches in the Health Research Methodology Program at McMaster, where she developed and co-ordinates an introductory course in health technology assessment (HRM-741).  Daria received her Masters and PhD from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
