Morgan is pursuing her PhD in the Health Research Methodology Program at McMaster University, with a specialization in health technology assessment. She is the recipient of a CGS Doctoral Scholarship by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Prior to joining PATH, she completed a Master’s in Economics from McMaster University and worked at the Public Health Agency of Canada.  

Her thesis work involves the use of discrete event simulation to identify waiting time reduction strategies in the hospital emergency department. Her research interests include: systems analysis, computer simulation, quality improvement and developing new methods for evaluating health care technologies. Morgan is trained in advanced statistical and econometric analysis, advanced decision analytic modeling and methods for the conduct of health technology assessments.
