Andrew Briggs
Lindsay Chair in Health Policy and Economic Evaluation,

Andrew was appointed to the Lindsay Chair in Health Policy and Economic Evaluation in June, 2005. Andrew has an interest in all aspects of economic evaluation applied to health care, in particular the use of statistical methods for assessing cost and cost-effectiveness, and the use of risk/prognostic modelling for making treatment decisions and guiding policy.

Karl Claxton

Karl Claxton is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York. He is also a Senior Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Economics, University of York. He was a Harkness Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health and from 1999 until 2007 he held an adjunct appointment at Harvard as an Assistant Professor of Health and Decision Sciences. His research interests encompass the economic evaluation of health care technologies.

Elisabeth Fenwick

Elisabeth joined Glasgow University in January 2006 from the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York, UK. Her research interests include decision modelling in economic evaluation, handling uncertainty and the use of Bayesian methods for health technology in assessment. Ron Goeree
Program for Assessment of Technology in Health (PATH),
McMaster University
Ron is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McMaster University and Director of PATH Research Institute. His research interests are centered around health technology assessment, decision modelling and economic evaluations. He currently heads up a large health technology assessment initiative for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Mark Sculpher

Mark is Professor of Health Economics and leads the team for Economic Evaluation and Health Technology Assessment at the Centre for Health Economics at the University of York in the UK. His methodological interests include incorporating patient preferences into benefit measures in economic evaluation, handling uncertainty and decision analytic modelling. Mark is also interested in the use of economic evaluation in policy and is a former member of the NICE Appraisal Committee and currently sits on the NICE Diagnostics Advisory Committee.

Feng Xie
Dr. Feng Xie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, McMaster University. Dr. Xie's primary interests include health technology assessment (HTA), methods in economic evaluations in health care including modeling and trial-based, health related quality of life and health utility measures. He is the Director of Health Technology Assessment Program (HTAP) in the PATH Research Institute. HTAP is the only academic centre of excellence in collaboration with the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) in conducting HTAs to support national policy makings. Dr. Xie is leading several HTAs with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) to support reimbursement decision makings in Ontario.
